Prepaid cards: a payment option at Fonoma

Prepaid cards are widely used in online shopping. At Fonoma you can also use them to pay your recharges. These cards are not linked to bank accounts and it must be the holder who determine the amount of money to be deposited.
There are several types of cards and they can be found in several countries.  Here you have some classified by area.

Caribbean and Latin America

Cartão nui: Prepaid Visa available in Brazil 🇧🇷 This card does not need a bank account associated to it. It's used for purchases, recharges and online secure payments. You can find them in different store locations 👇

MasterCard Prepaid: Accepted all over the world. It works like a debit card and is recharged at ATMs. Available in Uruguay 🇺🇾 (...)

The BBVA Rechargeable Card: available in Argentina, it has multiple benefits and can be used in all stores that accept Visa cards. This card is very easy to acquire. If you are a BBVA customer, you can apply for it through online banking. If you are not a customer, you should go to any of its branches and apply for it.

Banesco Universal Bank: In the case of Venezuela🇻🇪, it is possible to request a prepaid card to this bank, which has customer service online.

CICash Multicurrency Clásica: Available in Mexico and works all over the world. Just go to any of CIBanco's branches. This card has 5 different currencies: US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Japanese yen and Canadian dollar. If you are a foreigner, you only need to present your current immigration form. 

Banorte Visa TravelMoney: Available in Mexico, can be purchased at any of the Banorte bank branches in this country. To acquire it you need a valid official ID and a proof of address.

In Mexico, you can also easily and in a few seconds obtain a Weex Wallet prepaid card by accessing Google Play from your smartphone and downloading the Weex Wallet App. It can be used in any commerce that accepts Mastercard. You can recharge it in any oxxo.

Young Prepaid Card: available in Nicaragua and issued by Lafise bank, it is for international use and valid for five years. You can purchase it online or by phone.

Visa TravelMoney of Republik Bank: Prepaid Visa Only available in Trinidad & Tobago 🇹🇹 (Barbados, Grenada, Guyana and Suriname).
It works like a credit card but without commission fees or credit verification. You can send money and make payments online safely.

European Union 🇪🇺

Revolut Card: Visa. It works for everyone, but it needs to be associated with a bank account. Allows money transfers and secure online payments

Spark Card: Prepaid Master Card. It works all over the world, except Colombia (and countries in a situation of war 😰)
For the countries of the EU there is no problem of sending and activation, for the rest there must be an intermediary, so there is less use in Latin America

Global Card: Multidivisa Prepaid Master Card. Only available in Spain 🇪🇸
You will recharge the balance in Euros that you can convert from the Internet, in 4 different currencies: US dollars (USD), Canadian dollars (CAD), British pounds (GBP) and Swiss Francs (CHF).
