Why remove a payment method?

Over time, you may have expired cards, lost cards, or payment methods you no longer use. Removing unused payment methods helps you:

  • Protect your account from unauthorized charges

  • Keep your payment methods organized and up to date

  • Avoid confusion when selecting a card at checkout

Removing a payment method does not affect your recharge history or any payments you’ve already completed.


How to remove a payment method (step by step)

Step 1: Log in to your Fonoma account.
Step 2: Open the side menu and select Account.
Step 3: In the Payment Methods section, tap the pencil icon next to the default method.
Step 4: Click Edit and select the trash/bin icon next to the payment method you want to remove.
Step 5: Confirm the deletion.

Once confirmed, the payment method will be removed from your account.

What happens after you remove a payment method?

  • The method is deleted from your list of saved payment methods.

  • Past recharges made with that card remain visible in your recharge history.

  • You can add the payment method again at any time by following the steps in How to add a payment method in Fonoma.

Tip: Keep at least one active payment method in your account to avoid interruptions when sending new recharges.

  • I don’t see the delete option: Make sure you’re logged in and using the latest version of the app or browser. Check that you’re in Account → Payment Methods.

  • I deleted the wrong card: You can add it again manually at any time.
