Adding a payment method to your Fonoma account lets you send recharges to Cuba faster and more securely. By saving your card, PayPal, Apple Pay, or Google Pay, you can complete recharges in just a few taps, without entering payment details every time.

Saving a payment method also helps avoid errors at checkout and makes frequent recharges much easier.

Two ways to add a payment method

1. From your Fonoma account

Step 1: Log in to Fonoma, open the side menu, and select Account.
Step 2: In the Payment Methods section, choose Select payment method.

  • If you already have a saved method, click the pencil icon next to it and then select Add card.

Step 3: Enter your card details and save the changes.

2. During checkout (when making a recharge)

Step 1: Start a recharge and proceed to the payment section.
Step 2: Tap the > symbol next to the default payment method.
Step 3: Select Add card and enter the required information.

If you don’t have any saved payment methods yet, this option will appear automatically at checkout.

Once added, the new payment method will be saved to your account and available for future recharges. You can select it automatically the next time you recharge or remove it later if you wish.

Keeping your payment information up to date helps ensure your recharges are processed successfully and prevents bank declines.

Security & data storage

  • All payments are processed through encrypted, certified payment gateways.

  • Fonoma does not store full card details—only the last 4 digits are kept for identification.

  • PayPal payments are handled entirely within PayPal; Fonoma never accesses your credentials.

  • When using Apple Pay or Google Pay, Fonoma never sees your real card number.

All payment processing complies with international PCI DSS security standards.

Troubleshooting payment method issues

  • Can’t add your card: Double-check that all fields are entered correctly (card number, expiration date, CVV).

  • Payment method not accepted: Make sure your bank allows online or international purchases.

  • Apple Pay or Google Pay not showing: Confirm your device and country support these wallets.

  • Error saving the method: Log out, refresh the page or app, and try again.

  • Payment declined: Contact your bank or try another card or PayPal.

If a payment is declined but the amount was charged, Fonoma will review the case and issue the appropriate refund.
